2010 State Basketball Champs - Rejoice Eagles

Our family enjoyed the day traveling to Bethany, Oklahoma. Our family is FULL of school spirit. You can catch us at most events that are school related. We love the fact that our children and our family are active in our Christian School. We could not ask for a better organization to be apart of. We spent the day traveling to see the Varsity Boy's Basketball team play for State Title.

After a very long HARD fought game, the fourth quarter ended in a tie. The team then played 4 minute overtime quarter and were ahead until someone from the other team shot a 3 pointer to tie the game again. This lead to a second overtime. Well everyone kept digging and giving it their all. Same thing happened the second overtime, the same kid shot a 3 pointer from the other team to time the game again. We were praying for a victory but obviously they were too. Both teams played a GREAT game. During the 3rd overtime our boys played the best ever!!! They won the game 70 - 63. I was on the edge of my seat the entire game. I was so into it. I can not even imagine how it will be when it is actually my kids on the court playing. WAY TO GO EAGLES!!!

When it comes to sports, our family dresses in our fan gear. We love to cheer on our favorite team and support them. Below you will see my cute cheerleader who loves to cheer at all the events. The girl has always been able to do the splits since she was a baby, I need to get her in a gymnastics class SOON!!

Braden hung out with daddy most of the game on the sideline. Since we have gotten our new camera, Aaron has really wanted to take the action pictures at events. So almost all of the pictures that are posted on facebook are taken from Aaron. I think it is so cute he is getting into it as much as I am. Below is a picture of daddy's shadow during the game.

Blogging!!!

I have come to realize I am not a good blogger. We have been super busy. We are still unfortunately without a house. There is a house that Aaron and I both REALLY want but we are currently in the waiting stage to see if they contact us back before we go up on our price 1 last time. The listing expires in less than a month...so we are praying that if this is God's will...that this will be the one to call "HOME".

Avery Dawn celebrated her 3rd birthday Minney Mouse style. We were unable to celebrate on her birthday because our Oklahoma family was too busy with other plans. So we celebrated it a week later with just family. If we ever get a house we will have a play date at our place with her buddies. Tracy Poplin from church made Avery's birthday cake. It turned out PERFECT!!!

We enrolled Avery in the Pre-3 program for Rejoice next year. Now I am just praying that she will start going potty on the big girl potty. She is so strong willed!!! She is really going to miss having Mrs. Donna and Mrs. Angie. I think it will be a lot of fun for her because she is one that needed to be challenged.

Braden is loving Mrs. Zadora and K-5. He is a reading machine now. My mouth drops everytime he reads to me. It is priceless!! I am so proud of you Braden. Keep up the good work!!!

I promise I will try to do better on my blog!!!

School or No School?

Today we did not have school. I hated it because I did not get to see my 2 day kiddos. We just got back from Christmas vacation, I got to see them on Tuesday now I have to wait until next Tuesday to see them again...URG! I am really not sure why we did not have school today. Was it because we were expecting snow and ice again or was it the temps? I know people from the north have got to be laughing at Oklahoma for canceling due to the temps. However on the flip side I am thinking of my son during this time. His class is located outside from the main building. They have to walk from building to building to go to specials and lunch. I feel bad for the K-5 students and teachers.

However, we enjoyed today. Aaron called us up and asked if we would like to join him for lunch. I bundled everyone up and we headed to Tulsa. We ate at Fuddruckers because that is one of our family's favorites. YUM YUM!!! The kids like going because of the race car and motorcycle game. It is so cute to watch Braden try and drive the motorcycle. He does not have enough weight to make the motorcycle go from side to side. I stand in the back and help without him knowing. When it comes to the race car games, neither one of our kids can reach the gas pedal...so they steer and Aaron and I press on the gas pedal. Braden is actually a pretty good driver. I guess it is because of playing a lot of Mario Kart Wii.

Well, Avery Dawn's birthday is about a month away. I have started playing around with her invitations for her playdate (with her classmates). I think we are going to have a Minnie Mouse party. I hate that we do not have our own house to have it at, but we are still praying about our house situation. We are thinking about having it at grandma's house. Still in the thinking stage. ????

Let's Go to the Movies

I took Braden and Avery to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. Neither one had been to a movie theater before...I know horrible mom. Both of them did really good. We went to a movie theater around the corner from mom and dad's house but got there 10 minutes before the movie started. By the time we got our tickets and walked into the theater, there were only the entire front row and 2 seats here and there throughout the theater open. I was not going to watch it from the front row and I was not about to split up my 2 year old and 5 year old. I talked to the manager and explained to him the problem and he said he would refund our money. Once we got done with the transaction, he apologized and gave me 6 free tickets to our next movie at this location...BONUS!!!! We located another theater in Colleyville that had a showing at 3:30, this gave us plenty of time to eat and get there early.

We took the kids to McAlister Deli and enjoyed a great lunch with my sister and her 2 girls. Once we got done we headed to the theater. We were the second people in line to this showing. I am glad we got there when we did, the line wrapped around the corner of the hallway. We got GREAT seats all together. The first theater and this theater that we went to have theater seating and restaurant style seating inside the actual theater. It was super cool. Since we had already ate, we enjoyed the theater seats. It was so cool...you never had to get up and get a drink, popcorn or candy. They even had actual food. Each seat had a red button you would push if you needed something. I think we need one of these in Owasso.

The kid's first movie was a huge success. Avery and Braden really enjoyed it. When the Chipettes were singing "All the Single Ladies" Avery stood up in her chair and started shaking her booty. One point in the movie Dave calls out to Alvin...
A L V I N! It got quiet and then Avery tells me..."Mom he just said...A L V I N!!!" as loud as she could. It was cute!!! Aaron hung out with friends in Southlake, so he will have to join us on our next movie outting.

Texas here we come!!!

We finally made it to Texas today...YAY! Mom and Dad had our Christmas dinner ready for us when we got here. We enjoyed catching up with them and my sister's family and then off to open presents from Nana and Grandpa. The kids got really spoiled. Braden received a lot of Star Wars stuff and Avery got bling bling, princess stuff, "A" Justice purse and more girly stuff. We have a really large extended family here in Texas. There were tons of presents left for the kids from all of them as well. We sent Santa an email this letting him know that it needed to be a light year due to our living arrangements...apparently we forgot to give the same memo to the grandparents.

We will be spending the entire week here in Texas. We do not have much planned yet other than going to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. We have yet to take our kids to the movie theatre...is that bad???

I hear Oklahoma will be getting snow again possibly tomorrow...so sorry we are going to miss it...NOT! Loved the snow but I am ready for it to clear up so we can enjoy the fort (headquarters) and the playhouse in the backyard.

Below are 2 of my favorite snow pictures from this weekend.

New to the Blog World

I have a friend that blogs and have been following hers for several months. I thought I would give it a try. It is a great way for my family back in Texas to keep up to date with what is going on in our lives in Oklahoma. Thanks to Kristi for getting me all set-up. I hope I can operate this correctly.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Best Wishes in the New Year!!!
